The Claycolor Collective is an international community exploring color creation from soil. We collect soil, process it into pigments, and paint with the results. At the unibz GOG exhibition in January 2024, we hosted a DIY painting area, inviting others to experiment with clay colors.
To share this practice, we created a DIY kit with handmade clay colors, soil, gum arabic, empty trays and a step-by-step guide. Discover our clay color map to locate soil shades and add your own!
